Our projects and circles
Design Reparations works together with several indigenous and local organizations around the world to support their work rooted in relationality and connection. Our partners are leading the work, the scope and the implementation of our projects. We invite and coordinate volunteers that get to learn from traditional and ancestral cultures while working on indigenous-led futures.
Radical Reimaginations of the Futures
We come together to imagine and give shape to radically different visions of the future, where humans and more-than-human beings can live in safety, reciprocity, and care.
GNDR Strategy Document
Co-designing symbols of resilience with local communities and plants to represent the new strategy of GNDR, a global network of 2,000 civil society organisations working to strengthen resilience and reduce disaster risk in communities worldwide.
Voices of Nature

Gaza Travel Agency
What if people in Gaza could just enter a travel agency and plan their return home? Home to the places they were displaced from since 1948 and never allowed to return to, despite international law kepts on promising it to them. Gaza Travel Agency brings awareness to the Right of Return for Palestinians with speculative design.
Youth and the Future Website
What if design could amplify the work of indigenous-led organization committed to local resilience and regeneration? With a team of volunteers we designed, developed and implemented a website for Youth and the Future, empowering local Cameroonian with the guidance of Bafut wisdom.
The Youth Council

Cultural Knowldge Revival
Together with Kenge Content Hive and the Samia community in Kenya, we document and share ancestral knowledge, connecting generations and keeping cultural practices alive.
Decolonizing Design and Innovation
Through lectures and collaborations with universities and student communities, we explore how decolonizing design and innovation can support climate justice, value Indigenous knowledge and nurture more reciprocal relationships with the living world.
Nairobi Design Week
How can decolonized design support climate justice? At Nairobi Design Week 2025, we invited visitors to explore this question through conversations, Indigenous knowledge and the wisdom of Samia traditions.
In dialogue with Ancestral Knowledge holders
Through two online conversations with Princess Abumbi Prudence of the Bafut community in Cameroon and Paul Ole Leitura of Mulika Afrika, we explored how Indigenous knowledge and design practices can inform more reciprocal, sustainable and reparative ways of living and working.
Dutch Design Week 2024
